Lacinato Kale (Dinosaur Kale, Black Kale)

A favourite in Italy and with chefs around the world! This dark green strap-leaved kale is hardy and easy to grow. Direct seed or start in trays, March to mid-July. Plant 45-60cm apart. We overwinter our kale for occasional winter harvest, and harvest the sweet broccoli-like buds in the spring. Lacinato is not as cold hardy as other kale varieties, but will overwinter in a greenhouse or with some protection. 70 days.
