Minutina Erba Stella

This looks a lot like grass when young but don’t weed it out! It’s a nutty tasting Italian succulent that grows great in winter. We overwinter it outdoors and under cold frames and add to our winter salad mix. Seed spring through fall. Seed in rows and harvest with scissors 2-5cm from the ground to allow greens to grow back. Once plants bolt, cut the flowering stems and enjoy the tender flower buds sautéed, steamed, fried or blanched. 50 days for greens.
