Hopi Black Dye Sunflower

Huge flowers tower up to 12’ tall! Or heads can be a natural birdfeeder! Seeds are edible, and are traditionally used to produce a colour-fast purple dye.

Direct seed mid-April, 5mm-1cm deep in full sun, 2 feet or so apart. 10-14 days to germination, 90 days to full maturity. Annual.
