Lemon Balm Herb

Perennial herb from the mint family. Leaves have a mild lemon flavour and aroma, excellent for teas and tinctures that are known to be soothing and sleep inducing. Leaves can also be eaten as lemon balm pesto. Plants will spread widely, so plant in a contained area. Plant late March to mid-April; can direct-seed at this time, or transplant (start seedlings indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date), 45cm apart. Does best in partial shade.
