Waltham Butternut

This classic large fruited butternut has a long growing season but is unsurpassed for beauty and flavour! Highly productive plants have uniform fruits with deep orange flesh and a small seed cavity, making food for millions :) Can store for a year given the right conditions. Be sure to harvest before frost. 110 days

Sow in a tray or pots in a greenhouse in April and plant out 2.5-3 feet apart in May, or direct seed three seeds per spot and thin to the strongest plant. Produces best with fertile soil.
